Laurence M. Karz
Laurence M. Karz had lived in Canandaigua for more than 25 years. After graduating from Syracuse University College of Law, Laurence spent one year providing volunteer legal services with Alaska Legal Services. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1977, admitted to the United States District Court Western District of New York on January 19, 1993 and admitted to the United States Bankruptcy Court Western District of New York on October 21, 2003. Laurence primarily practiced in the areas of personal injury, product liability, real estate law, and insurance law. He was involved in many organizations in the community, including serving served on the Board of Directors of the Literacy Volunteers of Ontario County in Canandaigua since 1997, serving as a board member of United Way of Ontario County-Allocations Committee, teaching a notary public examination preparation class through Finger Lakes Community College and being the long-time attorney for the Student Body Association at Finger Lakes Community College. Laurence enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his wife, Anne, and his son, Jeffrey.
Samuel H. Hall
Like Laurence, Samuel H. Hall has also been a resident of Canandaigua for over 25 years. He graduated from the University of Buffalo Law School, where he also earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History. In 1962, he was admitted to the New York State Bar Association. He has practiced law for more than 32 years, primarily in the areas of personal injury, real estate, workmen’s compensation, and insurance law. He is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the Ontario County Bar Association and a former Chairman of the City’s Democratic Party. In his spare time Sam enjoys tending to his beehives and leading the local aviary community, working on his farm and spending time with his four children and seven grandchildren.
Peter Rolph is a graduate of Hobart College and Syracuse University College of Law. He was admitted to the bar in February, 2003 after a successful career in non-profit public relations. In law school Peter received the 2002 New York State Bar Association President’s Student Pro Bono Service Award and the 2002 Ontario County United Way Volunteer of the Year Award. Peter lives in Geneva, New York, with his wife and two children. He is an avid fisherman and enjoys fishing and boating on Seneca Lake as well as on the Chesapeake Bay.
Pamela S. Vincent
Paralegal and Office Manager
Pam has worked at Hall and Karz since 1993. She has over 35 years of experience in the legal field and is currently pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies at Finger Lakes Community College. Pam lives in Canandaigua and has two children. She enjoys reading, attending classes, and spending time with her family.
